I think pretty much everyone who cares knows the news regarding Fritz Lang's Metropolis now. A badly-damaged but nearly-complete 16mm print was recently found in Argentina, restoring roughly one-fourth of the film that was thought lost forever. This being one of my favorite films, I was amazed, even excited, but this picture from Ain't It Cool News actually made my heart skip a few beats.  The most recent restoration reconstructs this scene from stills. For me, seeing this is like hearing a tape of Beethoven conducting his Ninth Symphony.
